The Honorable Lisa Gauthier Elected as The Health Trust’s New Board Chair

San Jose, CA – The Health Trust today announced the Honorable Lisa Gauthier, East Palo Alto Mayor and member of The Health Trust Board of Trustees, has been elected as the new Board Chair. Gauthier also serves as Senior Vice President, Inclusion & Belonging, with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. She joined The Health Trust Board in 2021.

Additionally, Camille Llanes-Fontanilla, Vice President, Silicon Valley Programs, Sobrato Philanthropies, will continue serving as Board Vice Chair. Robert Robledo, Director of Special Events, San José State University, will serve as Board Secretary.

Gauthier was elected to the East Palo Alto City Council in 2012, and she currently serves as Mayor. In her role as Senior Vice President of Inclusion & Belonging for the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Gauthier leads the organization’s workforce/education, racial justice & equity, and healthcare policy areas.

Gauthier received the Athena Award from the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce in 2018, and she was chosen as one of Silicon Valley’s 100 Women of Influence in 2020 by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. California State Assemblymember Marc Berman also selected Gauthier for the Woman of the Year Award in 2022.

In 2019, Gauthier earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on general management from Thomas Edison University in New Jersey. She is the proud mother of three young adults, a longtime resident of East Palo Alto, and an active community volunteer.
