Last Friday was Food Day and SVHC celebrated at the Safe and Green Halloween Fiesta run by CommUniverCity at McKinley Elementary! Several SVHC members manned colorful tables to share seeds, recipes, fresh fruit, and tips for living a healthy and sustainable life. It was a fun way to start off the weekend…and to end the weekend many SVHC members ran the Race to End World Hunger at Sunnyvale Baylands Park. This race raised money for combating hunger both in San Jose and in third world countries. It was a great weekend filled with fun, food, and costumes!
