On Thursday, April 24, thousands of Silicon Valley residents will be supporting those in our community living with HIV/AIDS simply by enjoying an evening out with friends.
Dining Out For Life is an annual fundraiser for The Health Trust’s AIDS Services. For one day, restaurants will donate a portion of each customer’s check to The Health Trust AIDS Services, the largest provider of non-medical services to low-income people in Santa Clara County living with HIV/AIDS. With more than 30 restaurants throughout Santa Clara and southern San Mateo County participating, diners will have no trouble finding one that suits their taste and budget. Among those supporting the event are Morocco’s in Mountain View and The Blackbird Tavern in Downtown San Jose – both with live entertainment and special activities specifically for this one night event.
Amici’s President Peter Cooperstein shares: “When we brought Amici’s and our East Coast style pizza to Silicon Valley, we made this community our home. Dining Out For Life is a great way to give back, and to bring Valley residents together to help those among us who need our support the most.”
Dining Out For Life is the only major public fundraising event supporting The Health Trust AIDS Services, which provides food, housing, case management and benefit enrollment to more than 800 low-income clients with HIV/AIDS. It is part of an annual event supported by more than 3,500 restaurants across the United States and Canada.
So make your plans today. Gather your friends, make a reservation and dine out to fight AIDS on April 24. For a list of participating restaurants, or to make a donation, go to https://healthtrust.org/diningoutforlife
