The Health Trust believes that advancing wellness in Silicon Valley requires the involvement of the whole community. Whether you are a student seeking an internship or fulfilling a community service requirement, a retiree, a working professional, or someone in job transition, The Health Trust offers a volunteer opportunity to fit your interest and availability.

Community and School Gardens

Special Events

The Health Trust, in coordination with our various programs, plans special volunteer events throughout the year for our clients. For example, we have packaged Emergency Preparedness Kits for our Meals on Wheel clients and filled backpacks with school supplies for our Family Resource Center children graduating from the Kinder-Bridge program. Volunteers helped clean, organize and paint our new Food Basket and Family Resource Center facilities. Please let us know if your volunteer team is interested in participating in one of our special volunteer events.

Silicon Valley HealthCorps

School and community gardens promote healthier eating and physical activity while enhancing civic engagement and our sense of community. They are a proven solution to the obesity epidemic, making nutritious food and physical activity more readily available to people of all ages. In an innovative partnership, The Health Trust has joined together with AmeriCorps and twelve local organizations to form the Silicon Valley HealthCorps. The goal of this collaboration is to use gardens, farm to school programs and the work of 37 AmeriCorps volunteers to bring fresh fruits, vegetables and education to residents of Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
