Living in Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley is widely known for it’s innovation and forward thinking, which attracts professionals from all over the world. Perhaps it is because of this that Silicon Valley has a variety of festivals such as the famous San Jose Jazz Festival, and seemingly limitless food & entertainment that reflect that cultural diversity.

San Jose, averages 300 sunny days a year, offering the perfect weather to enjoy its bustling downtown filled with shopping, museums, and parks. As the 11th healthiest city in the U.S. according to Forbes, San Jose residents enjoy an array of year-round farmers markets brimming with organic produce and other locally sourced goods. Additionally there are 17 bike trails and more than 20 hiking trails in and around the city for outdoor enthusiasts to explore.

For sports fans, San Jose is right in the middle of the action. The NFL’s 49’ers, NHL’s Sharks, MiLB’s San Jose Giants,  and the MLS’s San Jose Earthquakes offer year round intensity for eager fans.

The surrounding area also has much to offer. with San Francisco and Napa Valley just a short drive north, or the beach in Santa Cruz Just to the south, there are plenty of options for weekend and day trips. The Bay Area also has a plethora of options for those who enjoy the outdoors. In the Bay Area alone there are 25 State Parks, 4 of which are within 25 miles of San Jose. Big Sur lies just two hours to the south and Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe are only 4 hours away.
