Annie Zavacky has been volunteering with The Health Trust since 2011—supporting both our direct service programming and special events.  She first approached The Health Trust about volunteering with her colleagues from Cisco Systems in 2011—and brought her team to our Food Basket facility to sort and prepare food for our Meals On Wheels and AIDS Services programming.  Annie has continued to show her support in a number of capacities—including the utilization of her professional skill-sets and passion for community service to support our fundraising efforts.

Annie has been a crucial supporter of our AIDS Services restaurant fundraiser, Dining Out for Life.   By helping recruit restaurants, getting the word out to the community, and serving as an ambassador at a participating restaurant, she has helped us tremendously.  Additionally, in 2014, Annie joined the planning committee and helped run essential event functions for our 2nd Annual AIDS Services Benefit Concert, which raised about $6,000 in one evening.

I feel I have made a small difference by encouraging people to see the need for volunteering at the Health Trust to help those in need within our community.  I hope to continue to do this for a long time.

Whether Annie is volunteering with The Health Trust sorting and distributing food to our clients, or supporting our many special events, we are thankful for her continued support and are grateful she continues to choose us as a meaningful place to volunteer her time.  Thank you, Annie!
